Police in Hillside are on the search for as many as three armed suspects who held up a gas station on a highway overnight.
According to reports, police were called to the Sunoco Gas station that's located in the 2300 block of Route 22 at approximately 9 p.m. after receiving calls of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon their arrival, officers were told that two male suspects, who were armed with guns, arrived at the station and committed the robbery according to reports.
It is not immediately clear what the suspects took from the establishment.
Police are looking for a white Honda that fled eastbound towards Newark. There were no physical injuries reported.
