Armed Robberies Reported in Paterson, Passaic

Authorities in Passaic County are investigating separate armed robberies that happened in Passaic and Paterson overnight.

According to authorities, shortly after 11:30 p.m. an armed suspect approached a man on Atlantic Street in Paterson and demanded cash and personal possession at gunpoint.

The victim reportedly handed over several items before the suspect fled the scene down Atlantic Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male who was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie, dark pants and carrying a large gun according to the victim.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Gregory Avenue, police were called to the area on reports of an armed robbery at gunpoint.

Arriving unit located the victim who reported that a black male suspect who was armed with a gun and wearing a mask pointed the weapon and took cash and other personal possessions.

The suspects was described as a 6ft tall dark skinned black male who was last seen wearing dark clothing when he fled the scene.

The armed robbery happened just on the Clifton border.

There were no physical injuries immediately reported.
