Armed Robberies at Bus Stops have Police Searching for Suspects

A set of early morning armed robberies at bus stops in the city has police searching for suspects. 

Police were called to the area of 18th Ave. near Mead Street for reports of an armed robbery that occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. Upon arrival, a female victim reported being robbed by two black males who were armed with weapons when they took her purse, cell phone, wallet and other personal possessions before fleeing the scene. 

In the area on South Orange Ave. and Norwood, armed men reportedly committed an armed robbery of a person waiting for the bus at that location. The victim was robbed of personal possessions. 

It is not immediately known if the armed robberies are connected. There is no description of a vehicle used in the robberies at this time.

No injuries reported.
