ABC has recently reported the FBI has received reports that starting now and running through Inauguration Day on January 20, armed protests are being planned in all 50 state capitals.
There have also been reports that groups are planning to storm government offices if the President is removed from office before January 20. There are also similar plans reported for Inauguration Day.
Governor Murphy told ABC that they are taking these reports very seriously and that the State Police are preparing for a potential armed demonstration in Trenton.
The Governor has asked that people stay safe and stay at home to avoid getting mixed up in any potential protest.
