There is an active investigation underway and a search for suspects wanted for carjacking a woman in Newark last night -Tuesday-.
Police were called to the 100 block of Perez Drive to take a report of a carjacking that occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene was informed by a female victim who reported being carjacked by an armed black male who wore dark clothing when they pointed a weapon at her and took her vehicle in the vicinity of Warren and Norfolk streets.
According to the vicim, the suspects took her black 4-door 2009 Mercedes Benz C300 with a reported NJ licenses plate number "E89-CVY".
The suspects sped away from the scene on Norfolk Street.
There were no physical injuries reported.
