Newark Police are investigating a carjacking that was reported in the city's Central Ward Tuesday morning.
In the incident, police say at approximately 2:35 a.m., police responded to reports of a carjacking in progress in the 300 block of Avon.
Upon arrival, the victim told police that an armed suspect pointed the weapon and took their blue 4-door BMW the drove away from the scene.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries, according to police.
Police said the suspect remains at large.
