Newark Police are looking into reports of an armed carjacking that occurred in Newark's Lower West Ward on Wednesday night.
According to police, at approximately 8:25 p.m, officers responded to reports of a carjacking in progress in the 80's block of 11th Avenue West.
Upon arrival, police were told that a male armed with a weapon stole the victim's red 2009 Suzuki.
Police say the suspect sped away from the scene and is at large.
There were no physical injuries reported.
