Police in Newark swiftly recovered a vehicle carjacked at gunpoint in the city this afternoon.
According to reports, the incident happened in the 300 block of North 7th Street shortly before 12:15 p.m. after police received reports of a carjacking in progress.
Police units arriving at the scene located the victim who reported being carjacked by two black male suspects at gunpoint.
The suspects took the victim's Toyota Tacoma and sped away from the scene.
A city-wide search had police recover the vehicle at around 12:30 p.m. at a location on McCarter Highway reports said.
Both suspects fled the scene and are at-large.
