Police in newark are on the search for a suspect who carjacked a person in the city's downtown on Tuesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a location on Broad Street to investigate a carjacking in progress before 8:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, they were told by the victim that an armed suspect took a 2007 gray Saab before officer's arrival.
Police say the vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "R81-KSW."
There were no physical injuries reported.
