Alleged Argument Over Parking Space Leads to Shots Fired in Jersey City

Jersey City police are investigating an incident that happened in one of their neighborhoods on Sunday night.

NinosAt approximately 9:40 p.m., police received reports of gunshots in the 30's blocks of Armstrong Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers secured the area after discovering several shell casings on the block. 

Following a meticulous on-scene investigation and the review of surveillance footage, authorities initiated a search for a dark-colored vehicle seen fleeing from the vicinity shortly after the gunfire erupted.

Preliminary findings suggest that the incident stemmed from a heated argument over a parking space.

NinosDuring the dispute, one of the individuals involved allegedly brandished a firearm and discharged it.

Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries resulting from the shots fired.

As the investigation develops, police continue to piece together the sequence of events.
