ALERT: Warrant Issued for East Orange Man Wanted for Allegedly Beating Newark Woman

Police in Newark issued a warrant for Mr. Taji Edgehill, 29, of East Orange, in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Monday, December 9.

According to police, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Pennington Street on a call of an aggravated assault.

Police upon arrival, they found that a woman was assaulted by a man she knew following a quarrel.

Police say the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment then released.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Taji Edgehill as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of aggravated assault.

He is described as 6’3” tall, 220 lbs., has a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

While police are actively searching for Edgehill, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating him as part of this investigation.
