According to Pablo Pizarro, Pastor of the Temple Rock Church, located just at the Newark/Belleville Border on Broadway, the late Sunday night theft happened around 10:25 p.m. In the church’s parking lot.

Pastor Pablo said thieves arrived at the gate and popped the lock while three other cars were sitting in the front as lookouts.

“It's unfortunate how nothing is sacred anymore,” Pastor Pablo said.

A blurred but time-stamped surveillance video of the theft showed the vehicle drive into the lot and, simply hitch the trailer onto the vehicle, then drive away.

“It's a church!!!! We use it to bless the needy and the community”, a frustrated Pastor Pablo said.

The Temple Rock Church has distributed food, supplies and other products to thousands of residents during the Covid-19 Pandemic and on a weekly basis.

“According to the cameras it was stolen Sunday evening, but we didn't realize it was missing until yesterday (Tuesday) when we opened our building,” Pastor Pablo said.
