ALERT: Track Maintenance will Suspend Light Rail Service at Newark Stations

Track Maintenance will have service to some stations in Newark suspended according to NJ transit officials.

Officials said, trains will operate between Bloomfield Avenue & Grove Street stations ONLY but substitute bus service will pickup the slack and operate between Newark Penn & Bloomfield Avenue stations ONLY.

NJ TRANSIT will perform necessary track maintenance work during the weekends of **November 5-6 AND November 12-13.**

During this time, trains will operate every 20 minutes between Grove Street, Silver Lake, Branch Brook Park, Davenport Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

Trains will operate on a modified Saturday schedule (every 20 minutes) officials said.

Substitute bus service will operate every 20 minutes all weekend between Newark Penn (rear of Bus Lane #1 near McDonald’s) and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

Trains will **NOT** operate at Park Avenue, Orange Street, Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street, Military Park, Newark Penn, NJPAC/ Center Street, Atlantic Street, Riverfront Stadium, Broad Street and Washington Park stations.

Service will be temporarily discontinued on the Broad Street Extension (BSE) including Broad Street, Washington Park, Newark Penn, NJPAC/Center Street, Atlantic Street and Riverfront Stadium stations.

Customers are advised to use existing bus service to connect between Newark Penn Station and your destination.
