ALERT: Three Wanted in Newark 7-Eleven Armed Robbery, Theft

Police officials in Newark seek the public’s help in identifying several suspects who are connected to a robbery that occurred today.

Authorities said at approximately 3:05 a.m., police responded to 7-Eleven, the convenience store located at 1400 McCarter Highway, to a robbery call.

According to police three, Hispanic males entered the store at different times in which two of the men stole items from the shelves.

Police said when confronted by a store attendant, one of the suspects displayed a handgun.

Police described the first suspect described as a light-skinned, approximately 5’7” tall with a goatee and several tattoos on his neck.

This suspect also wore a red baseball cap, white coat with red pinstripes with the letter “P” on the back, and the word “Quickins” on the right arm.

Police said the suspect also wore a red t-shirt and sneakers.

Authorities described the second suspect as a light-skinned male, approximately 5’10” tall, heavy set, with a goatee.

Police said this suspect wore an orange t-shirt with “Addidas” on the chest, a blue baseball cap, and blue shorts with orange stripes that included a NY Mets logo near the left knee area.

The third suspect is described as having a medium complexion and as wearing a mullet-style haircut and thin beard.

He wore a blue t-shirt with the words “Whatever” written on it, blue jeans and black sneakers police said.

While police are actively searching for the suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
