There is an active search underway for suspects allegedly responsible for a violent carjacking in Newark.
Three suspects (who committed two carjackings) who used an assault type weapon and a pistol are wanted by detectives from the Newark Police Robbery Squad said Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose.
According to authorities, detectives obtained photographs of the trio after they committed both crimes near the intersection of Dickerson and North 6th Street yesterday.
Police said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
Director Ambrose is urging anyone who sees the suspects to immediately call 911.
