ALERT: Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Assault Shooting in Newark

Police in Newark seek the public’s help with identifying an individual wanted in connection with an aggravated assault shooting that occurred on April 19.

According to Newark Police, officers responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon that took place around 9:41 p.m. in the 100 block of Irvine Turner.

Upon arrival, officers recovered two shell casings in a grass field.  

Police say during the course of the investigation, officers also located a 2017 Honda Accord that had a bullet hole in the front passenger door.

The individual was last seen on the corner of 18th Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard and is known to frequent the area.
