Police in New Jersey are asking for the public’s help in locating a Monmouth County teenager who has been missing since Monday afternoon.
According to information released by Aberdeen police, Aaliyah Jeffrey, a junior at Matawan Regional High School, was last seen near the school around 2 p.m. on Monday.
The 16-year-old has not been seen or heard from since and has not returned home, raising deep concern among her family and local authorities.

Jeffrey is described as approximately 5′1″ tall and was last seen wearing a pink shirt with a cheetah print, pink sweatpants, white Crocs, a pink multicolored headscarf, and carrying a grey book bag.
Police are urging anyone who has seen Aaliyah or has information about her whereabouts to contact the Aberdeen Township Police Department at 732-566-2054.
The department is working closely with local agencies to locate the teen and ensure her safe return home.
