The Elizabeth Police Department urgently seeks information and assistance from the community in locating a missing individual, Sophia Polec.
The 16-year-old girl has been reported missing by Trinitas Hospital, and her disappearance has raised concerns.
According to police, Sophia was last seen on October 19, 2023, at 645 East Jersey Street, specifically at Trinitas Psychiatric Hospital.
Police say at the time of her disappearance, she wore a black shirt adorned with a white graphic design, an olive-green jacket, black sweatpants, and black Nike slides.
She was also carrying a white fabric shopping bag.
Her frequent destinations include Citi Grocer, Broad Street, and the Jersey Gardens Mall. However, her current whereabouts and intended destination remain unknown.
It is crucial to note that Sophia has been diagnosed with schizophrenic personality disorder and ADHD, adding urgency to her safe return.
Sophia Polec is described as a 16-year-old female with a height of 5'6" and a weight of 150 pounds. She has brown eyes, dark brown hair, and a fair complexion. She is of White race.
The Elizabeth Police Department urges anyone with information regarding Sophia's whereabouts to come forward and contact them immediately at 908-558-2000.
