ALERT: Police Search for Newark Boy who Ran Away from State Officials

Newark

Police in Newark are looking for a boy who ran away from a hospital in Newark in late July.

According to police, on July 28, Treshawn Daniels, 14, left University Hospital while being transported by his DC&P worker to a group home.

Police say the victim ran away from the location after changing his clothes. Treshawn wore a red hoodie, black shorts and gray/yellow sneakers.

He is known to frequent Newark Penn Station, Jersey City, Bayonne and the state of Pennsylvania. Police say Treshawn should not be in the care of his parents because DCP&P has official custody of him.

His physical condition is good, but Treshawn can experience emotional issues that could cause distressing symptoms.

If anyone comes in contact with Treshawn, you are urged to contact Newark Police Department at 973-733-6000 or Newark Special Victims Division at 973-733-7273.
