ALERT: Police Search for Missing Newark Man UPDATE: Found Safe

Police seek the public’s help in locating Mr. Karim Durant, 39, of Newark.

Police say Durant was reported missing from the 400 block of Avon Avenue on October 14, 2019.

According to police, he was last seen leaving the boarding home where he resides and they believe he was headed to Newark Penn Station.

Police say Durant is currently wearing a hoodie with a red t-shirt underneath with white/black Adidas sneakers.

His physical condition is described as "good" but his mental state is poor. Police say Durant has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia.

Durant is 5’7” tall and weighs 170 pounds. He is brown complexion and bad a bald head according to police.

Police say he frequents the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Newark Penn Station, Irvington and New York Penn Station where he usually panhandles for change.
