Police are searching for an "armed and dangerous" man who they say is wanted for attempted murder charges stemming from a domestic related incident.
According to police, Nafis Chapmin, 25, of North Plainfield, is wanted on attempted murder, weapons offenses, and certain persons not to possess firearms from a domestic related incident that took place on December 18th.
Police said Chapman should be considered armed and dangerous.

UPDATE 6:30pm At approximately 5:10 this evening, Nafis Chapin was apprehended without incident in the City of Plainfield by one of our Patrol Sergeants and a Detective as a result of a tip regarding his whereabouts. This was made possible by some members of the press who were able to get the word out quickly to the public. Thank you.
