UPDATE 6:08 pm FOUND SAFE INSIDE INDEPENDENCE PARK.

Police in Newark seeks the public’s assistance in locating, Junior Lala, 12, of Newark, who hasn't been seen all day.

Police said at approximately 9:30 a.m., Junior Lala went missing from the 100-block of Hawkins Street.

Junior is described as 5’7” tall and 120 lbs. with black hair and dark brown eyes.

While police are actively searching for Junior Lala, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and returning him to his family.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about Junior Lala’s whereabouts to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
