ALERT: Missing New York Man Sought by Newark Police

Police officials in Newark are seeking the public for help in finding Mr. Mohammed Arif Jafari, 25, from Syracuse, N.Y., who was reported missing on August 16. 

According to Newark authorities, Jafari, grappling with an intellectual disability, was last observed at around 9:30 a.m. departing from the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at 858 Broad Street. 

During his departure, police said he was clad in a green T-shirt and khaki pants with no footwear. 

Notably devout in prayer, Jafari stands at 5’5” and weighs 145 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a light complexion.

Director Fragé calls upon individuals possessing information about Jafari's current location to contact the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). 

It's important to note that all anonymous Crime Stopper tips are treated with confidentiality and could potentially lead to a reward.
