ALERT: Man, Woman Sought for Robbing Newark North Ward Chicken Shack

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two people who they say robbed a Newark eatery on November 10th.

According to police, at approximately 10:40 p.m., police responded to Tasty Fried Chicken, located at 148 Bloomfield Avenue, for a report of an armed robbery.

Based on preliminary reports, a black male entered the store and robbed the employees of merchandise at gunpoint. Police said the suspect and a woman in his company fled the scene in a red, 4-door Hyundai.

The suspect is described as 30 to 35 years old, 5’7” to 5’11” tall with a slim build and wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, red T-shirt, black sweat pants and blue and white sneakers.

The woman is described as Hispanic, heavyset and short, with brown hair.

Police said she wore a black and white hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.  

While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from the streets. The investigation is continuing.
