Police in Newark request the public’s assistance in locating Fredrick Ferguson, 35, of Newark who is wanted on charges of aggravated sexual assault of multiple minors.
Police said on Monday, August 28th, police responded to a South Ward residence on a call of sexual assault against children.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Fredrick Ferguson as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest.
Ferguson is 5’10” tall, approximately 170 lbs., with a thin build, and has a burn scar on one of his forearms accoridng to police.
Ferguson has been known to speak with a Jamaican accent at times and frequents the Branch Brook Park area and shelters in Newark and in New York City.
While police are actively searching for Ferguson, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and removing him from our streets.
