Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the Video Music Awards:
Beginning from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022
· Mulberry Street between Market Street and Green Street
· Edison Place between Broad Street and McCarter Highway
· Columbia Street between Lafayette Street and Edison Place
Beginning from 9 a.m., Sunday, August 28, 2022, to 2 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2022
· Mulberry Street between Market Street and Green Street
- Edison Place between Broad Street and McCarter Highway
- Lafayette Street between Broad Street and McCarter highway
- Columbia Street between Lafayette Street and Edison Place
- Broad Street (partial northbound lane closures from Green Street to Market Street)
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
