ALERT: Downtown Newark Businesses Asked to Consider Early Dismissals Tomorrow Due to Predicted Snowstorm

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose respectfully requests that downtown businesses consider closing by noon tomorrowWednesday, December 16th, due to the forecast for snow accumulations of 9" to 13".

Director Ambrose is most concerned about facilitating workers' ability to exit the downtown area in a timely manner and to arrive safely at their homes. 

Snow is expected to begin by 4 p.m. on Wednesday and continue into Thursday afternoon with high winds.  

Drivers are advised to observe the City's 'No Parking on Snow Cover Roads' ordinance. Also, avoid driving on streets that may be flooded due to this weather event.
