Police in Newark arrested a man and charged him for a violent attack on a person in the city's Ironbound section Monday evening.
It happened around 6:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Bruen Street.
Officers were dispatched to the location after receiving 911 calls of multiple victims stabbed at that location.
Units arrived and found one person bleeding from his face after a suspect used a broken bottle during the aggravated assault attack.
Police say the victim suffered a non-life threatening laceration and is expected to recover.
Circumstances surrounding the assault are under an active investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
