A male was rushed to the hospital suffering serious injuries after police found him severely stabbed in a section of Seaside Heights on Thursday morning.
Police say it happed around 2:55 a.m. in the 100 block of J Street, where officers responded to an injured person's reports.
Units arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering multiple stab wounds in his stomach.
Police say EMS transported the 36-year-old male to Jersey Shore Medical Center and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office was notified.
Authorities are trying to determine if a woman who entered police headquarters suffering a laceration is connected with this incident.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
