One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $974,347 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Sunday, April 14th drawing.
The winning numbers were: 11, 18, 21, 38 and 43 and the XTRA number was: 05. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is Shop Rite of Berlin #531, Route 73 & Minck Ave., West Berlin in Camden County.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Shop Rite of Berlin #531. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Carey announced that there were 801,132 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 129 ticketholders won $572 each and 9 others won $2,860 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 4,772 ticketholders won $15 each and 787 others won $75 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 9,599 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
