According to information released by Vineland Police, the crash occurred around 2 p.m. on North Lincoln Avenue near Maple Avenue.

Investigators say 87-year-old Ramona Sansalone, of Minotola, was heading south when her vehicle struck the back of a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck that was turning left into a driveway.

The initial impact pushed Sansalone’s car into the northbound lane, where it was struck head-on by an SUV.

Sansalone was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said the SUV driver, a 63-year-old Vineland woman, was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The 36-year-old Vineland woman operating the pickup truck reported she was in pain but declined medical treatment.

No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains active.
