78-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed by Car in Wayne

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief James Clarke announce that at approximately 12:24 p.m., on Monday, February 26th, police responded to the intersection of Valley Road and MacDonald Drive in the Township of Wayne in response to a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle.

Police say a 2007 GMC Sierra truck, driven by a 50-year-old Plainfield man was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, Rosa Nikhamina, 78, of Wayne, suffered serious injuries, ultimately succumbing to them at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the GMC Sierra did not suffer any injuries and remained on scene.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More Information will be released once it becomes available.
