67 Puppies Rescued from Van Behind Paramus Pet Store

Paramus

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal would like to commend Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg and the Paramus Police Department for the terrific police work that led to the discovery and rescue of 67 puppies left alone inside a van behind “Just Pups,” a pet store located on Route 17 South in Paramus.

At this time, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the allegations of animal cruelty along with the Paramus Police.

All of the dogs rescued from the van were taken to the Oradell Animal Hospital, where they were evaluated and/or treated.

Currently, the puppies are being cared for under the direction of Tyco Animal Control. They will continue under Tyco’s care during the pendency of this investigation and are not eligible for adoption at this time.
