60-Year-Old Carlstadt Man Killed in Route 46 Crash in Parsippany

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Investigations Chris Kimker, Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon, and Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Chief Andrew Miller announce an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday evening.

According to Morris County authorities, at 6:46 p.m., Parsippany Police responded to the intersection of Route 46 and Baldwin Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

The investigation revealed a Chevrolet Cruze and a Nissan Altima collided.

The driver of the Cruze was transported to Morristown Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, and the driver of the Altima was transported to St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville.

The Altima driver, a 60-year old Carlstadt man, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The crash is under investigation by the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department Traffic Bureau, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
