Passaic County authorities reported that at approximately 12:50 a.m. today, police responded to the area of 247 Germantown Road in the Township of West Milford in response to a crash involving two motor vehicles.
Authorities said the crash involved a 2007 Ford Escape that a 58-year-old male was operating and a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 51-year-old male.
Police said there was also one passenger in the Chevrolet Silverado.
The operator of the Ford Escape was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Following the crash, the driver and occupant of the Chevrolet Silverado were transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
