37-Year-Old Wayne Man Charged with Suspicious Death of Dog

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief James Clarke announce that based upon an investigation by the Wayne Police Department, Craig J. Lam, 37-years-old from Wayne, was arrested on July 9th in relation to an animal cruelty incident that took place May 31st.

Police say on May 31st, members of the Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of Knox Terrace Wayne, on a report of an animal cruelty complaint.

When police arrived, they were advised the dog had been taken by Mr. Lam to the Fairfield Animal Emergency Hospital in Fairfield.

Officials say officers were advised by the staff of the Fairfield Animal Emergency Hospital that the dog arrived deceased.

Based on the investigation, Mr. Lam was charged according to police.
