33 Arrests Made During Hudson County Warrant Sweep

Hudson County

According to Hudson County officials, the Hudson Sheriff’s Office arrested 33 people during a warrant sweep across the county.

As reported by officials on Saturday, September 24, the warrant sweep was led by Sheriff Frank X. Schillari.

The arrests were part of the HCSO’s “Operation Fall Sweep.”

“Taking these alleged criminals off of our streets ensures the safety of all of Hudson County’s residents and visitors, improving the quality of life in our communities,” said Sheriff Schillari.  

“Each arrest brings us closer to accomplishing our goal of promoting safety in all of Hudson County’s municipalities. I am incredibly proud of my officers and the work they do in protecting the people of Hudson County.”

 

Aggravated Assault

John Hines, 30, of Jersey City, is charged with Throwing Bodily Fluid at a Law Enforcement Officer.

Jyquam Hopson, 25, of Jersey City, is charged with Aggravated Assault (Strangling Domestic Violence Victim) and Credit Card Theft (Receiving Lost/Mislaid Card).

Terroristic Threats

Kevin J. Desravines, 29, of Jersey City, is charged with Terroristic Threats.

Wilfredo Nunez, 38, of Jersey City, is charged with Terroristic Threats.

Robbery

Enido Rumaldo, 18, of Jersey City, is charged with two counts of Robbery

Rajon Gaffney, 20, of Jersey City, is charged with Robbery

Najeeyah Cooper, 27, of Reading, PA, is charged with Robbery

Craig Clinton, 57, of Jersey City, is charged with Robbery (Bodily Injury or Force)

Burglary

James Defazio, 43, of Nutley, is charged with Burglary.

Brandon Chisolm, 33, of Jersey City, is charged with Burglary (Inflict/Attempt to Inflict Bodily Injury)

Oswald Marin, 29, of Jersey City, is charged with Burglary.

Fermin Ramos, 35, of Jersey City, is charged with Burglary and Theft by Unlawful Taking.

Theft

Gregory Javier, 31, of Belleville, is charged with two counts of Theft By Unlawful Taking, two counts of Conspiracy, and two counts of Criminal Mischief with Damage.

Nicholas Soto, 32, of Lyndhurst, is charged with Theft/Contempt

Jhonesty B. Williams, 36, of Jersey City, is charged with two counts of Theft By Unlawful Taking

Jason Brice, 58, of Fairlawn, is charged with Credit Card Theft (Fraudulent Use of Credit Card)

Angelica N. Mendez, 41, of Hillside, is charged with Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance

Receiving Stolen Property

Mahmoud Abdelmeged, 21, of Jersey City, is charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

Nuzhet Z. Khan, 45, of Jersey City, is charged with Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

Justin Rodrigues, 23, of Kearny, is charged with Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

Drugs

Jennifer Felder, 34, of Manhattan, NY, is charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute

Aaron J. Ransom, 31, of Jersey City, is charged with Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance / Possession.

Michael Stellato, 38, of Jersey City, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Raham Shehata, 24, of Jersey City,  is charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Anthony Padilla, 45, of Jersey City, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Michelle Paladino, 53, of Jersey City, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Fugitive From Justice

Dayvon A. Perez, 21, of Newark, is charged with being a Fugitive From Justice and Receiving Stolen Property.

Sexual Assault

Edwin Lozado, 21, of Dumont, is charged with Sexual Assault (Force/Coercion). 

Resisting Arrest

Devin Lawrence, 27, of Jersey City, is charged with Resisting Arrest (Eluding in a Motor Vehicle). 

Sex Offender

Hector D. Rodriguez, 39, is charged with Failing to Verify Address as a Sex Offender.

Fraud

Juan Pomales, 50, of Jersey City, is charged with Using False Documents to Obtain a Driver's License.

Monica Rodriguez, 35, of Jersey City, is charged with Bad Checks.

Violation of Probation

Allen Mick, 27, of Hamilton, is charged with Violation of Probation.
