Lottery officials said the winning ticket was bought on December 29 at Millennium Food Mart on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark.

The ticket is the third grand-prize winner announced since the game launched in August.

The “$250,000 Crossword” ticket costs $10 to play, and three additional top-prize tickets remain unclaimed, according to lottery officials.

Earlier winning tickets in the game were sold at Lucky Deli on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Jersey City and Fine Fare on Hamilton Street in Somerset.

The New Jersey Lottery initially issued more than 3.6 million tickets for the game when it was released.
