A lucky lottery player in Newark’s West Ward is celebrating a $20,000 win after purchasing a scratch-off ticket sold earlier this month.
According to information released by the New Jersey Lottery, the winning ticket from the “20X $200,000” scratch-off game was sold on March 19 at Home Liquors, located at 773–775 South Orange Avenue in the city’s Vailsburg section.
Officials have not released details about the winner, but the prize marks another notable win for a North Jersey player.
Retailers that sell winning tickets typically receive a bonus from the state lottery.
