20-Year-Old Wallington Woman Charged with Assault by Auto While Driving Intoxicated

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest of Natalie Sorotowicz, of Wallington, on charges of assault by auto, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated by a person under twenty-one years of age.

On Wednesday, August 5th, at approximately 11:38 p.m., police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Semel Avenue and Scudder Street in Garfield.

Upon arrival, the responding officers determined that the crash involved a motorcycle and an automobile, both of which were at the scene. The motorcyclist sustained obvious and serious injury and was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition. The operator of the automobile was identified as Natalie Sorotowicz, who was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. After failing standardized field sobriety tests, Sorotowicz, was placed under arrest for DWI. Sorotowicz was also charged with one (1) count of assault by auto.

She was summonsed and released, pending first appearance by the Honorable Guiseppe Randazzo, J.M.C.
