19-Year-Old Man Killed in New Jersey Shooting

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department are cooperatively investigating the death of a man in Atlantic City Sunday. 

Officials said at approximately 3:33 a.m., the Atlantic City Police Department was dispatched to the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of shooting.

The victim of the shooting, identified as Tamaj Bennett, a 19-year-old male from Atlantic City, NJ, was transported to the hospital by emergency medical personnel.

Bennett succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital. This incident is currently being investigated and an autopsy is pending.
