Authorities are investigating the drowning death of an 18-month-old child last night at a Roselle home.
Police and rescue personnel were called to the 500 block of West Seventh Avenue sometime around 8:45 p.m. where a 18-month-old baby boy was found unresponsive.
The child was transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the circumstances of the child's death.
