17-Year-Old Overdosed Driver Accused of Crashing Car in Gloucester City with Child Aboard Identified

Police have released the identity of the 17-year-old driver that allegedly overdosed and crashed on Interstate 76.

According to State Trooper Alejandro Goez, the vehicle was traveling south near milepost 0.6 shortly after 9:30 p.m. when it crashed into a barrier.

Upon arrival, police found both the driver and passenger, a 19-year-old Delanco Township man, unconscious in the car.

EMS transported both victims to Cooper University Hospital in Camden after reviving with Narcan.

Officers also found a 5-year-old child unharmed in the vehicle according to police.

The crash remains under investigation by State Police.

Police barged the 19-year-old passenger with possession of drugs without a prescription.

Charges are pending against the driver, police added.
