14-Year-Old Boy Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Glassboro

Police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old boy who was struck and killed last night as he crossed the street.

Police responded to the area of Delsea Drive near William Dalton Drive shortly before 9 p.m. for a report of an accident.

Upon arrival, police found the unidentified 14-year-old Washington Township resident suffering serious injuries.

The boy was transported to Cooper University Hospital, in Camden, where he succumbed to his injuries around 2 a.m. this morning.

According to initial reports, the boy was crossing when he was struck by a vehicle - driven by a 23-year-old Clayton man - traveling north on Delsea.

The accident remains under investigation.

No charges have been filed against the driver, who police say remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation.
