13-Year-Old Found Dead Behind House in Paterson; Medical Examiner to Determine Cause

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, police officers responded to the area behind 133 Harrison Street in the City of Paterson in response to a report of the discovery of a body.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered one deceased male juvenile, later identified as a 13-year-old from Paterson.

The medical examiner’s office was called to the scene and took custody of the body of the 13-year-old.

An autopsy, which will be scheduled at a date and time to be determined by the medical examiner’s office, will be performed in order to determine the manner and cause of death.
