Police officials in Montville are looking into an incident where a child drowned in a lake this afternoon.
Emergency responders rushed to Lake Valhalla Club on Vista Road in Montville after they received reports of a missing child just before 3 p.m.
When they arrived, they found the unconscious and unresponsive 12-year-old boy in the water.
Police have not released the circumstances behind the incident at this time.
There were no other injuries reported.
