12 Charged After Months-Long Drug Investigation in Jersey City

A months-long narcotics investigation targeting alleged drug distribution in Jersey City’s Greenville section has resulted in charges against 12 individuals and the seizure of firearms, ammunition, and illegal drugs, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.

According to information released by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation was led by the Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Gangs Task Force in coordination with the Jersey City Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). 

The investigation began after authorities received reports of narcotics distribution along Clinton Avenue.

 

Between July 8 and July 15, investigators arrested multiple individuals from Jersey City, Newark, and Irvington on various drug and weapons-related charges.

 

Authorities said the investigation led to the seizure of three firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and quantities of cocaine, heroin, oxycodone, promethazine, and other controlled substances.

 

Among those charged are:

 

  • Anthony Ross, 44, of Jersey City, on heroin and cocaine possession-related offenses.
  • Christian Rivera, 30, of Irvington, on weapons and drug offenses involving multiple handguns, large-capacity magazines, oxycodone, and promethazine.
  • Dion Ross, 36, of Jersey City, on heroin and cocaine possession-related offenses.
  • Shawn Adams, 27, of Jersey City, on weapons and narcotics offenses involving a handgun, heroin, and cocaine.
  • Francisco Delacruz, 35, of Newark, on heroin and cocaine possession-related offenses.
  • Diamond Malave, 27, of Jersey City, on heroin and cocaine possession-related offenses.
  • Jack Ross, 76, of Jersey City, on heroin and cocaine possession-related offenses.
  • A 61-year-old woman charged with possession of cocaine.
  • Three additional women charged with disorderly persons offenses related to possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Prosecutors also announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Zaiir Belton, 25, of Jersey City, who is wanted on heroin and cocaine possession-related charges.

 

The investigation remains ongoing.
