The reward is being made available through the Essex County Crime Stoppers program as authorities continue to pursue leads in the killing of Laquan Nowlin, 32, of East Orange.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Nowlin was shot and killed on July 3, 2020, outside his residence near the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue in Newark.

Officials say the investigation remains open and active, and they believe someone in the community may have information that could help bring resolution to the case.

Prosecutor Stephens emphasized that even after several years, new information can still be critical in identifying those responsible and delivering justice for the victim and his family.
