10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling Off Amusement Park Ride in NJ

New Jersey State Police officials have confirmed that a 10-year-old girl has died after she fell off an amusement ride at a weekend festival in Cumberland County on Saturday evening.

According to State Police officials, the unidentified girl fell from a ride named ”Extreme" at the 41st Deerfield Township Harvest Festival at the Rosenhayne Fairgrounds on Morton Avenue just before 6:15 p.m.

Officials say the girl was airlifted to Cooper University Health Care in Camden where doctors pronounced her dead shortly after her arrival.

State Police officials have not confirmed the owner of the ride at this time.

Organizers canceled a parade that was scheduled for today -Sunday-, while the other activities were still active.
