Irvington Township Native Delivers ’Truth’ as an Actress, Activist, Motivational Speaker

Essex County

New Jersey residents, please meet Irvington Township native Alethea.

Alethea Gibbs, also known as Gibbs Truth, is the author of They Don’t Hear Her Cries. Alethea means “Truth.” Therefore, it is imperative for her to be honest.

Furthermore, Alethea is an actress, an active volunteer in her community, a motivational speaker specializing in speaking to the youth, and director of marketing for LV Magazine.

Speaking to children in schools about all types of issues such as helping them cope with not having an active father in their lives, never giving up, being bullied, domestic violence, and having suicidal thoughts are dear subjects to Gibbs because of the personal experiences she’s dealt with.

Alethea also goes to classrooms and reads books to the children, where she takes pride in reaching out to the youth since ’it takes a village to raise a child.’

Alethea takes it upon herself to feed the homeless because she feels it’s sad to witness the less fortunate searching for food in the garbage.

Unfortunately, it’s too many sad people in this world, so one of Alethea’s goals is to put a smile on as many faces as possible and to spread happiness across the globe.

Gibbs is passionate about encouraging and motivating people to smile and be happy. She stresses the importance of being helpful to others, too.

She wrote They Don't Hear Her Cries to let absent fathers know the importance of being in their child’s life. Also, she wrote it to let the fatherless children know it's not their fault daddy disowned them.

Alethea Gibbs wants to leave you with a few words of encouragement: “Always be honest with yourself and do what makes you happy. Don’t be afraid to start over and change for the better. Gibbs Truth, No Lie.”

Be sure to follow her on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok and Periscope.

Happy Thanksgiving, Alethea from all of us here at RLS Media/Metro Breaking News.

Thanks for sharing your story Alethea.
